Abstract Inflation rate: the Blue Nile inflation has risen to 545.1 percent in March. Comparing with the national one, state level inflation remained higher by 203.3%. The main drivers of high inflation are continuous increases in prices of 12 food and non-food items that have a great 3 share in household expenditures. Otherwise, the persistent structural economic factors such as devaluated local currency are pushing inflation to higher levels. (Figure 9)
